December 2020: San Diego Based Petco Files IPO

Petco Health and Wellness filed an initial public offering (IPO) with the SEC last week to be publicly on the Nasdaq with the ticker “WOOF.” The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to a rise in pet ownership and spending, with Petco working hard to create multichannel approach and digital adaptations, but the company still struggles to remain profitable.
